There are a ton of great music venues in the Twin Towns (obviously), but if you are really looking for a place to push you musical boundaries its the Cedar. It’s certainly no secret (it has “cultural” right in its name), but the Global Roots Festival is a prefect example of the type of programming they bring to the stage that you won’t see at other venues around town. Tonight La Yegros and Banda Magda take the stage, and the pairing showcases the variety of Global Roots Festival. La Yegros is a vocals-driven soloist from Argentina, and Banda Magda are a greek jazz/dance band that sings in French (figure that one out). This is definitely a show you won’t get anywhere else.
